The Pin of Solidarity
Created by Ralph Lauren’s Black Advisory Council employee resource group in the US, the pin is a tangible evergreen symbol of allyship and solidarity with Black communities
Support NowCreate Lasting Change
One hundred percent of the proceeds of the sale of each pin will contribute to delivering more Rio Ferdinand Foundation community sessions that will support young people to tackle the inequality they face in their lives, develop skills and forge meaningful career pathways.
“Both my Foundation and Ralph Lauren have a commitment to social justice and social mobility for young people and communities and this partnership will allow us to work together and bring people together, to achieve that change in society.”
Rio Ferdinand
Former professional footballer and current sports analyst and commentator Rio Ferdinand established the Foundation in 2012 to address issues of inequality he personally experienced while growing up in Peckham, South London.
Throughout his successful career, Ferdinand played for clubs including West Ham United, Leeds United and Manchester United, securing numerous domestic and international titles. He also represented the England national team, earning 81 caps and participating in three FIFA World Cups.
Since retiring, Ferdinand has made a name for himself as a prominent media personality, contributing as a pundit and television presenter. Additionally, he actively participates in charitable endeavours and football-related projects through the Foundation, leaving a lasting impact on the sport and continuing to inspire fans globally.

Creating New Opportunities
Since 2012, we have worked hard to dispel limiting beliefs in society. Now working in communities across the UK and Ireland, with regional hubs in London, Manchester and Belfast, we have supported over 10,000 young people to tackle the inequality they face in their lives and realise their own potential.
As a value driven organisation, we developed these core values to underpin everything we do
YOUTH-LED
Young people are at the heart of everything we do, inspiring us to evolve and adapt, so we can support them to realise their full potential
EMPOWERING
Enabling young people to recognise their skills, giving them ownership to achieve their individual goals
A CONNECTOR
Bringing young people, their communities and our partnership network together; valuing diversity and creating a shared sense of belonging
RESILIENT
Bouncing back with enthusiasm and fresh solutions, continually learning and taking the time to actively ‘listen’ and respond to the world in which we work
COURAGEOUS
With a ‘can-do’, open, supportive and honest approach - we are not afraid to do things differently
EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE
“Young people are at the heart of everything we do, inspiring us to evolve and adapt so we can support them to realise their full potential.”

Our Commitment
We are dedicated to creating more pathways for equity within our industry and beyond at all levels – beginning with education.
Our hope is that the funds raised from the sale of each pin enhance avenues of access for students and future graduates, helping to make their dreams a reality.
